Praise be to Allah the Most Gracious Most Merciful for giving us the opportunity to showcase our own Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Portal.
The EAP was established in 2015 as an effort to support the aspirations and achievement of the UMP Strategic Plan 2011-2015 under KRA 4 (a). Consequently, EAP offers free workplace counselling services and provides causes and training that suggested and required by the UMP staff.
Our services are dealing with:
- Career and organizational conflict
- Career and family balance
iii. Healthy life style and,
- Personal life changes that directly affect the productivity of work.
As aforementioned, in addition to guidance and counselling services, EAP also offers training and causes for matters that are deemed important and requested by UMP staff. Among the causes offered are financial management, children education, emotional management etc. It is also my privilege to mentioned that EAP is assisted by more than 30 AKRAB members stationed at PTJ level. AKRAB members are your friends in need.
As the worst distance between two people is misunderstanding, I would like to take this opportunity to clean the air and consciously eliminate the stigma libelling those who seeks EAP assistance as problematic and mentally disturbed. Instead, we need to acknowledge that those who come to EAP are those who are determined to make their situation better.
At EAP we cannot promise to fix all your problems, but we can promise, you will not have to face them alone.
